Building our own stockade style log home

May 13 - Tami Barefoot
We are looking into building our own stockade style log home. I'm hoping you could refer us to any sites that would help us to research this style better.We are looking for something that gives the specs, pros and cons, and building plan examples. Not finding much info on this.Hoping you could help point us in the right direction. We have our own timbered tract of land and would like to use our own logs, mostly oak. Any info you could share will be much appreciated. Thank you ever so much.

Our 2010 building season is underway
Welcome
Spring is evident here in Nova Scotia; the warming weather and plenty of sunshine. SSLH has been getting plenty of traffic both on our blog and website. We have been working hard to provide our visitors with up-to-date and current content. We have now made available on our website several pages dedicated to each of our recent log home builds, once only available in a slide show are now static pictures on a webpage.
Coming soon! See SSLH featured in the April edition of Log Home Living. We'll be featured as an alternative to the horizontal/traditional style log home; our very own vertical/stockade style log home.
